“Un Pequeño Paseo – A Little Walk”

Sunday August 26th - 5:15pm

The third Pequeno Paseo/Little Walk will be on Sunday, August 26, @5:15-ish pm, at the Brigantino Park just outside Hollister at the 4th Street Bridge. The timing is not critical, we’ve been waiting up for late arrivals, and the walk strings out depending on how fast anyone wants to go.

There’s a nice, even path and plenty of parking around the ‘old spray fields’-turned ‘park’, and we will enjoy the evening of “the full Sturgeon Moon”.  It may show itself, or its glow, before we leave the park, but is expected to rise at 8:15pm.

Watch for details or changes on the REACH San Benito Parks Foundation  FB page, send us a comment or suggestion for future adventures.  Brigantino Park on Sunday, August 26that 5:15pm,   I’ll see you then!!!!  (RSVP, if you can.)

Sunday September 23, 2018

Fourth, in the Un Pequeno Paseo/ A Little Walk series will be on the morning of the Fall Equinox, Sunday, September 23.  This will be very special since SBC Public Health, and Ofelia Prieto, Safe Kids SBC Coordinator, will be partnering with R.E.A.C.H. to get kids off to a safe start to encourage walking or bicycling to school.

Veronica Lezama, COG Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee has also offered a coordinated effort, ordering up a grooming from Public Works.  Parents and kids will be walking and biking from the San Juan Soccer Field to Anzar High School on the first official Bike Path built in San Benito County in the 1990’s!!!

Let’s celebrate with a Pequeno Paseo en Bicicletta/ A Little Bicycle Ride, along with Un Pequeno Paseo/ A Little Walk!!  Again, stay tuned to our Facebook page for any changes.p p
